With a few nice days in the 60s, I've taken the 119 out twice in the
last week. There have been rain showers here and there, but overall
rainfall has been fairly low for late winter.
Water temps were mid 40s on trip 1 and low 50s on trip 2. I wasn't expecting much from the bass, but wanted to take home a few crappie for the freezer. Turns out I would land only 1 crappie, but it was a nice one. I also landed and kept a ~2 lb pickerel to practice my pickerel fileting technique. No pics of the pickerel, but it was mighty tasty.
The bass cooperated on both trips. Nothing big, most 1.5-3.5 lbs. Caught ~10 on trip 1 and ~20 on trip 2. Most taken on a spinnerbait or trolled x-rap.
